22, 2011. April Kelcy will be available for media interviews and/or to assist & advise the command
team for the Hermon Shakeout Play, presented by the Northeast LA Disaster Survival Task Force. The event is from 8:30
AM - 12:30 PM & is a quake scenario followed by fires and evacuations. All members of the Hermon community and surrounding
neighborhoods are invited to be involved in this drill, advertised to be the "first of its kind". Community
members can indicate their preferences from at least 18 different types of roles to play. Meet in the parking lot of
Fresco's Community Market at 5914 Monterey Road in Hermon, 90042, for the pre-briefing.

October 29, 2011. Earthquake & Emergency Preparedness from 1:00 - 2:30 PM. This program will be at
One Lord Memorial Church, 204 E Monterey Avenue, Pomona, CA. The host church has designed a program with short comments
by local public safety officials, and a longer segment by our award-winning speaker & CEO, April Kelcy on preparing for
a major quake. The program also includes time for audience Q & A. Free and open to the public. No reservations
required.
November 9, 2011. Sierra Madre Senior Citizen's Lunch & Learn Program - Noon
to 1:00 PM. April Kelcy will provide information specifically for seniors on preventing injuries during earthquakes,
as well as other preparedness tips.
