Managing and disposing of human waste after a serious emergency,
when there probably will not be any power or water for a time, can be challenging. It is all too easy for
a finger with a minor wound from broken glass to get infected. In some instances, particularly without immediate
medical attention, there is the potential that an infected wound could lead to blood poisoning, and maybe even ultimately
require amputation of the finger.
Urine and feces also cannot be stored in ordinary trash bags without
special precautions, and cannot be disposed of in ordinary trash, unless you use an EPA-approved WAG Bag. Otherwise,
you must use infectious waste bags, and call a medical waste hauler for expensive disposal when the emergency winds down.
A course in disaster sanitation is available, and although content
can be awkward, the course is always highly rated by participants. We invite you to call us for more information on
this challenging subject.

Folding Toilet:
This is the least practical type of toilet because it uses simple plastic collection bags (about
the size of a kitchen trash bag), which pose difficult problems with sanitary and legal disposal. This toilet is also
less stable than other models, and may be more likely to tip while in use. However, it is an industry standard, inexpensive,
and can serve temporary needs of individuals and families, if used with care. This type of toilet, however, should not
be used in school, business and other group settings.
This model has a weight limit of 200 lbs., and comes with six collection bags.
Retail price: $14.00 each.
Bulk pricing is usually not offered, because this unit is not appropriate for managing
school or business emergency sanitation needs. However, if you believe your situation is unique, you are always welcome
to call us for a bulk pricing quotation.
Folding Mini-Shovel:
This is the sturdiest little shovel and pick you'll ever see. Detach handlle and the item
also folds neatly into a quality belt pouch for storage. Pick and shovel postions can be aligned as needed. Strong,
sharp and easy to use.
Retail price: $15.00 each.
Bulk pricing available on request.
Sun Shower:
So, if the building is damaged, and you're living outside for a night or two, don't you still
want to wash your hands with warm water before cooking or eating? And what about a shower? Use the on/off valve
to wet down with WARM water, then shut off the flow to soap up, and then turn it on again to rinse off. This is
a large capacity 4 gallon unit, which doesn't sound like much on one hand, but you can get at least two showers out of this
if you use it wisely. All solar showers take time to heat, but this one is faster than most, and retains a good capacity
of warm water almost always.
Retail price: $24.00.
Campsuds:
This environmentally sound soap is highly concentrated, and suitable for multiple cleaning purposes during
emergencies or while camping, including but not limited to dishes, laundry, bathing, and shampooing. The Los Angeles
Times notes it works well even when highly diluted, and calls it a "terrific" product. Earthquake SOLUTIONS owner, April
Kelcy, and her family have used it for years for camping and backpacking and wouldn't be without it. Lasts a LONG time,
too! Put some in your home emergency kit today!
Retail price:
$3.75
Signature Hankerchiefs:
When water is so scarce, and utilities are out, what will you use for washcloths, dish towels etc.?
Standard washcloths soak up water, and do not dry quickly. Same with dish towels. Our signature hankerchiefs,
in a variety of "hot" designs are great as washcloths and towels, and can also be used as bandages and in other applications.
Choose a differing design for each member of the family.

$2.00 each

WAG Bags:
Without a doubt, WAG Bags are the newest and best product available for
disaster sanitation and wilderness uses. An environmentally sound powder is contained in each one that deodorizes, sanitizes
and gels human liquid and solid wastes. This environmentally sound process also renders the
waste clean and sanitary enough that it can be disposed of in regular trash and landfills.
Each package includes an inner bag with the gelling powder, and a large zip-style bag for containing
the wastes between uses and for final disposal. Each package will handle about four to five uses. It also comes
with a small about of bath tissue and hand wipe.
The bags can be used in a portable toilet, bucket, trash can, or even as is. Every disaster
product plan should have at least one of these per person, and probably more. This item is so vital, we urge you to
order now!
Retail price: $2.50 per bag.
Bulk pricing is definitely available. Please call with your quantity estimates for
a specific quote.
The PETT Portable Toilet:
This is the Mercedes of portable toilets. Three-legged design allows
the user to arrange the toilet in a stable, level position, in virtually any terrain. It's extremely sturdy and supports
up to 400 lbs., yet folds as flat at a briefcase for compact storage and easy portability. Easy to clean, and perfect
for WAG bags. An extra cover is also available for the underside, which can provide additional storage.
Retail price: $80.00
Bulk pricing is available and varies with quantity. Please contact us for more details.
Insect Repellent Towelettes:
Mosquitos spread disease! Even in everyday activities you need protection in many states,
including California, for West Nile Virus. Even though fatality rates from West Nile are low, neurological damage in
many victims is overwhelming, and recoveries can be long. Avoid exposure to bites, particularly in the early morning
and evening hours when mosquitos are most active.
Some vector control districts hand out sample towelettes that only provide 1 -2 hours of protection
and which are highly flammable. Our towelettes provide 6-7 hours of protection, and are non-flammable. This
makes them an idea product for golfing and other activities that involve extended outdoor activities.
Keep at least a few in your car in case you are unexpectedly caught outside.
Retail Price: $.85 each
Bulk Price for orders exceeding 50 units: $.65 each.
Sunscreen Wipes:
If your car breaks down or a disaster strikes, chances are you probably didn't plan on being caught out
in the sun for hours. Sunburns are not only dangerous for your long-term help, but can add to dehydration at a critical
time and make you very, very uncomfortable. Throw a few of these wipes in your glovebox or emergency packs at home and
in the car, maybe even in your gym bag. Be especially sure to be ready to protect children from sunburns as well.
Retail price:
$0.50 each
Infectious Waste Bags:
Many competitors will sell you an infectious waste bag for the same price, but they often supply an anemically
thin bag that can rupture easily. When you need an infectious waste bag, the last thing you'll want is leaks.
Our bags are medical weight infectious waste bags that are thick and strong, and that have passed a dart test.
No surprises!
Retail price:
$0.25 per bag
