Standard Emergency Blanket:
Often also referred to as a "space" or "solar" blanket, the material this
blanket is made of evolved out of space exploration programs, and is exceedingly effective at providing warmth.
Yet it is so compact, that it will fit easily in a pocket. It can be used for very simple situations, like providing
protection when it might otherwise be too unexpectedly and uncomfortably cool at a game or other outside event. It may
be crucial in some circumstances, especially for ill or injured victims, in protecting people from frostbite or death from
exposure. There should be several of these blankets in every car, and every emergency kit should have at least one.

Baby Bunting:
This wonderful product is made of the same material as an emergency blanket, but sized and hooded to protect
the infant. The largest percentage of heating and cooling occurs through the top of the head, so this may be an outstanding
way to help keep the baby comfortable and safe. It's so small and thin it will fit easily in the diaper bag, glove box
or other convenient location.

Emergency Sleeping Bag:
This may look like the emergency blanket, and is similar, but different. The emergency blanket at
the top of this page is just a blanket, in the sense that it consists of a single rectangular layer. This
item is actually a pouch or sleeping bag that can surround you, and you can climb into for more coverage. It's
made of the same efficient material as the regular emergency blanket, and also reflects and retains existing body heat and
is very, very effective. It's also still small enough to fit in a fanny pack or glove box.
In many instances, the regular emergency blanket is fine or even preferred. For instance,
in an auto accident or situation with injuries, the blanket can be used as a shock blanket, without having to move the victim.
However, if you ski, live in an area with cold, snowy weather, or participate in outdoor winter sports, you shouldn't be without
this sleeping bag in addition to the ordinary emergency blanket. Keeping warm and preventing hypothermia may be essential
to staying alive, especially if you find yourself trapped overnight unexpectedly.

Rescue Blanket:
This disposable rescue blanket has a waterproof shelf and an absorbent insulated
liner. It is in an easy to see yellow, and is of a type frequently used by police, firefighters, lifeguards, and
other official responders to provide safe and rapid transfer of those in need of medical attention.
Although it's primary use is for the comfort and safety of victims, it can
also used like a light tarp to cover up belongings in the aftermath of blown windows or other problems, to help protect
them from further damage from weather or broken glass. It also has multiple practical uses outside of emergencies, such
as being an easy and disposable picnic tablecloth, in a bright yellow color.
The size is approximately 54" x 80", in a compact storage package that is approximately 9" x
12".
