"Safety Kate" Earthquake Injury Prevention
What you don't know, or the myths you incorrectly believe, may put
you in more danger than you think. This is one of our signature courses that tends to turn people upside down in their
views of what preparedness really means.
We originally designed this course in 1987, and it was the basis
for training we provided to over 1,000 FEMA and OES workers in 1994. It continues to improve.
You will be immediately able to respond with safer behaviors during a major earthquake
the moment you finish this course. Amazingly your heart may not race as fast in the next one as last time you experienced
an earthquake, and you will likely feel significantly more emotional control. The results of this unique training session
are based in actual, proven earthquake principles and an understanding of the human experience that is so effective it is
credited with saving at least one life during the Northridge earthquake of January 17, 1994.
Versions of this course are available in sessions ranging from 1.5 to 4 hours.
Shorter segments are appropriate for public seminars or group settings where available audience time may be more
limited. However, the 4-hour version incorporates the "Rocking Shoes Blues",
which is an unforgettable hands-on simulation, and is highly recommended for schools, businesses and government agencies ---
even for first responders!
This is one of our signature and proprietary courses that cannot be legally
offered by any other source at this time.
